2010 Writing Prompts

30 DAY CHALLENGE

so, since these 30 Day Challenge prompts seem to be the bees knees in the blog world lately, I've decided to try my hand at it. I'm hoping I can find the time to blog for 30 straight days, but sometimes life gets in the way, so try not to hold it against me if I miss a day here and there. I really want a chance to open up to my readers and maybe learn something new about them as well if they decide to pick it up.

I wanted a different sort of 30 Day Challenge I wanted something that would really promote thoughtful posts, and more than just a few sentences describing the answer. I came across Becca's blog [life in technicolor.] and absolutely loved the 30 Day Challenge she created, and so I'm going to follow all of her prompts and answer one each day. GIVING THANKS

I've decided to start blogging every day until Thanksgiving about the things that I'm thankful for. I am a very, very lucky woman, and I want to share that with everyone. I know it sounds cheesy, but I think that we go on with our days, just trying to get to the next, and we don't stop to think about how fortunate we really are. we are so focused on the hustle and bustle of life, that we often tend to take it for granted, not really appreciating the little things that we've been blessed with.

so with that said, I'm starting Giving Thanks, where I will post every day about one aspect of my life that I'm thankful for. if you'd like to join in, feel free! I don't have a fancy button or anything (if you'd like to make one for me, that would be AWESOME), so if you could, just link back to my blog if you decide to participate. there are no rules - you can post as little or as often as you like! you can post about whatever you're thankful for, whether it be your health, your family, your digestive regulations, your cats, etc.

EDITED: I made myself a little button, so if you'd like to participate, feel free to grab it and use it on your thankful posts!

have fun, ya'll!

day twenty-five - Thanksgiving

REVERB10

here we go folks - another "challenge" type of post. really, I guess it's more of a prompted type of series, which I love, so of course, I'm going to participate. this is much like the Giving Thanks series, in that it requires some deep thinking and allows us to reflect on our own feelings. it's called Reverb10, and you can learn all about it at the website here!

"Reverb 10 is an annual event and online initiative to reflect on your year and manifest what’s next. The end of the year is an opportunity to reflect on what's happened, and to send out reverberations for the year ahead. With Reverb 10, we'll do both."
