fill in the blank Friday!

weeeeee! hello friends!

Christmas was great (I got a Kindle, a new watch, these sweet boots, a set of wine glasses, and a bunch of other awesome stuff) and we have very low key plans for NYE. all in all, the end of 2011 is looking to turn out perfectly, and I'm keeping fingers crossed that 2012 will kick ass too.

I've got approximately 2.5 weeks until school starts again, so I plan on taking it easy and relaxing until the craziness begins. I wish you all a very happy & safe New Years!

now onto the blanks! if you'd like to play along, head over here and visit Lauren and her cute ass bump.

1.   New Years is     not only a time to celebrate a new year and fresh starts, but to also reflect on the past and learn from it .

2.   One of my New Year's resolutions will be   ... I don't make resolutions, but I do have some goals in mind - one to be to finish the spring semester with a 4.0 GPA and to get myself into a steady workout routine    .

3.  A New Year's resolution I've made in the past was to   read more books  .

4. The most time consuming resolution I ever made was    hmmm... I can't really think of anything. like I said, I don't really make resolutions   .

5.  This year I will be spending New Year's Eve    with great friends and a wonderful husband .

6.  If I could wish one thing for my new year it would be    ... a secret. wishes don't come true if you share them, duh  .

7.  2012 is going to be    memorable!

Rules:
1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and link them on the post.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have linked him or her.
6. No tag backs.
7. No stuff in the tagging section about ‘you are tagged if you are reading this.’ You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

11 Things About Me:
1. I lost my first tooth while sucking down a McDonald's milkshake in Norfolk, VA. I was there visiting my Poppop (who was stationed there as USCG) and I was VERY proud to show him my lost tooth.
2. I sleep with a blankie that my grandmother made for me as a child. It has cats on it.
3. If I didn't maintain my eyebrows, I'd look like Bert & Ernie. or Frida Kahlo.
4. My feet are disgusting right now. I am in desperate need of a pedicure.
5. I want a baby. BAD. I've yet to talk about our TTC struggles on here, and I'm not sure if it's something I'll ever delve into publicly. Just know that if you've been trying without success for a long time (12 + months), you are not alone.
6. I didn't put my Christmas tree up this year. By the time we had a free day to do it, it would only be up for a week. It ain't that serious.
7. I like some of my internet friends more than some people I know IRL.
8. I have been smoke free for 417 days today.
9. I have the tattoo itch! My calves will be next and I can't wait!
10. I'd rather clean the toilet everyday than wash another dish ever. (hint: we don't have a dishwasher)
11. I feed my cats people food.

Questions (from Kaley!):
1. favorite blogger/blog?
easy. YHL. <3

2. what's your favorite beauty secret?
shiiiiit. I just started painting my own nails. I have no beauty secrets, haha.

3. what is your favorite quality in another person?
compassion.

4. why did you fall for your spouse?
he swept me off my feet unexpectedly, he made me laugh, and he made me want to be a better person. so cheesy. it also helps that he's hot as fuck.

5. proudest moment?
my proudest moment is anytime someone tells me that my mom would be proud of me. also, quitting smoking was pretty awesome.

6. favorite concert you've been too?
oh man, this is hard. I can't pick just one. I'd have to say either Tom Petty, Counting Crows, or Pink.

7. thing you're best at?
creating. uh, except when it comes to babies? ha.

8. last thing you licked?
probably Kaley's husband's beard. mmmmm.

9. favorite iphone/droid app?!
Words With Friends.

10. what does your last text say? don't lie!
ACTUALLY, it's a picture of a cup from Kaley that says "mimosas at work?! yessssss!" WHAT A LUSH.

2. Do you prefer salty or sweet snacks?
3. What is your favorite fashion trend right now?
4. Are your nails painted? What color?
5. What is one thing you wish you could improve about yourself?
6. Who is the last person to make you laugh?
7. What is one thing your spouse does to make you weak in the knees?
8. Favorite holiday song?
9. Would you rather stub your toe or have a paper cut?
10. Favorite book you've read this year?

11. New year's resolution?

I know I've got a slim chance of seeing these people participate, being that it's 3 days away from Christmas, but I'm tagging them anyway!

Amy, Becca, Mrs. Biscuit, Monica, Vicki, Nicole, Sar, Mrs. Parker, and um... that's it.
I don't feel like tagging anyone else. suck it.

1.   Love is     all we need .

2.   Being in love feels like   having butterflies everyday    .

3.  My favorite quote about love is    "My heart starts to pound now, to the rhythm of yours..." - a lyric from the song, Still Dreaming, by Silverstein - we have it tattooed on our forearms   .

4. The most important thing in a relationship is    communication. if you don't have a way to get your message across to your partner, you're doomed. I feel thankful that Sean and I have each other down to a science when it comes to communication  .

5.  A "deal breaker" for me in a relationship is    someone who is untrustworthy .

6.  The way I show love in my relationships is    by doing little physical things - nothing sexual, but rubbing/scratching his back, or scratching his palms (something he REALLY loves). I love to make him feel wanted and adored. we are big huggers too .

7.  I love    life  .

fill in the blank Friday!

play with Lauren

1.   The holiday season is    best spent with those you love and those you are thankful for .

2.   Snow makes me   happy, only when it's enough to get me out of work. any other time, it makes me stabby, because people don't know how to drive in it     .

3.  The best comfort food to eat when it's cold out is    grilled cheese and soup   .

4. Winter is the best time for    snuggling. and hot chocolate with extra marshmallows  .

5.  I can hardly wait for    winter break! just have to get through 2 more weeks and then I can relax for a bit .

6.  When it comes to holiday gifts I prefer to    give them. I usually spend a lot of time trying to pick the perfect gift, and it's a comforting feeling to watch someone open a present that you worked so hard on .

7.  If I were to rate my excitement about the holiday season on a scale from 1-10, I would say I am at about a    9. I absolutely LOVE the holiday season, because I enjoy seeing my family and spending quality time with the people around me. I give a 9 and not a 10, because it's also the time of year that my mom got sick, and therefore the cold weather always reminds me of that. the holidays really just haven't been the same without her.
