may you find some comfort here.

I've been in a bit of a haze all day. I can't concentrate on anything.

I got a text last night from a good friend that I met on a wedding planning message board back when I first got engaged. you see, this group of women is certainly very special to me. we went through everything together while facing the stress and trials of planning our weddings, from choosing our venues, to which flowers to have in our bouquets, to wedding party drama, and now we've all been married for over a year, and we still keep in touch on the boards, some of us even through emails, gchat, and texting. they are such wonderful, beautiful, supporting women, and I've come to love them like family.

anyway. I got a text last night that one of our girls lost her babies over the weekend. yes, I said babies. after having trouble conceiving, her and her husband got pregnant through IVF. she was pregnant with triplets, and she lost them this weekend. their names were Avery, Trinity, and Langston, and I can only imagine how beautiful they were.

I was in tears last night thinking about my dear friend. my heart aches for her and her husband, and words cannot describe how sad I am for them. I just cannot imagine the heartbreak they are experiencing through this difficult time, and although I'm not the praying type, I'm asking those of you who are to say a prayer for Emily & her family. she is such an amazing, strong woman, and I know she can get through this.

if you'd like to read their inspiring & beautiful birth story, you are more than welcome to read her blog here.

we're going to set up a donation towards the March of Dimes in honor of her babies, so I'll be sure to put something up on the blog in case anyone would like to help support her through this tragic time.

  4. How incredibly sad for them. She sounds like a tremendously strong and resilient person for even having written her birth story. Tragic.
